Our Mission:
Christ Covenant Coalition is a community of Christian leaders, churches and organizations committed to building authentic Christ-honoring relationships that transform individuals, families, and society.

Here is some more information to define and distinguish Christ Covenant Coalition:

Our Mission/The Cultural Commission

  • We preach the Gospel of the Kingdom of God as part of the Cultural Commission in Genesis 1:28 and Matthew 28:19.
  • We work for a biblical reformation of society as well as promoting revival in the church
  • We encourage believers to serve humanity representing Christ in every aspect of society.
  • We are a community-centric movement in the tradition of St. Patrick and the Celtic Church.

Local Church Government

  • We believe in the functionality of the fivefold ministries.
    • We believe that God still sends the Body of Christ ministry gifts today according to the teaching set forth in Ephesians 4:11.
  • We believe in the set-one principle.
    • We believe God sets forth in the church first apostles then prophets according to 1 Corinthians 12, and that the “set-one” has final say as the first among equals in a team of elders that oversee a local church and/or network of churches.
    • We believe in setting in deacons according to Acts 6 so the physical needs of the people of God are met.
  • We believe in the autonomy of local church governments
    • We do not believe that a denomination should have control over local church government or property.
    • We believe that every set-one should have apostolic oversight but that the local church should have the local oversight of their eldership.

Apostolic Advancement for the Kingdom of God

  • We endeavor to release and empower apostolic elders and leaders in every city to network churches and marketplace leaders for kingdom influence.
    • According to 2 Corinthians 10:1-12 God gives certain people spheres of apostolic authority in a region.
    • We endeavor to recognize and empower such leaders so we can replicate a continual process of networking churches for kingdom purposes under apostolic leaders we recognize and affiliate with.
  • We will work for the unity of the Body of Christ in any city and nation for the furtherance of the Kingdom of God.
    • We believe there are leaders and ministers in every Christian denomination that we can partner with in the Kingdom of God.
  • We value covenant among like-minded church and marketplace ministers of the Kingdom of God.
    • We endeavor not only to gather ministers and leaders together but to covenant with them and commit ourselves to their personal and ministerial success for the furtherance of the Kingdom of God.
  • We will train world-class leaders in both the church and marketplace.
    • To plant churches.
    • To form apostolic networks in regions.
    • To become world-class civic leaders in politics, law, economics, education, family policy, and society in general.
  • Leadership Community Clusters
    • We will launch Leadership Community Clusters in various regions of our nation and beyond. There will also be internet leadership clusters for those not in geographic proximity to a cluster of CCC members.
    • The Transformational Leadership community is comprised of established and emerging leaders who are committed to a process of building authentic relationships with the goal of maximizing corporate and personal purpose.
    • The Core Values upon which our relationships are built are:
  1. Covenant
  2. Personal accountability
  3. Integrity
  4. Walking in the light
  5. Spiritual renewal
  6. Ministerial and theological growth
  7. Emotional and physical health
  8. The integration of spiritual disciplines

What We Believe

  • We believe in biblical inerrancy.
    • We believe in the full, plenary inspiration of Scripture regarding every facet of life including salvation, science, and history. This is not to say that the Bible speaks explicitly in matters other than salvation but that the Bible is relevant according to Genesis 1:28 to every realm of life.
  • We believe in the historic church creeds of Nicaea, Chalcedon, Ephesus, and Athanasius.
    • Although not equal in weight and inspiration to the Holy Scriptures, we believe in these creeds insofar as they reflect biblical writings and doctrine.
  • We respect the writings of the historic church fathers.
    • Although not equal in weight to biblical books, the writings of the church fathers should be studied because the Holy Spirit has been building His church for the past two thousand years.
    • We believe in the values of the contemporary Lausanne Covenant. (The Lausanne Covenant is a 1974 Christian religious manifesto promoting active world-wide Christian evangelism. One of the most influential documents in modern Evangelical Christianity, it was written and adopted by 2,300 evangelicals at the International Congress on World Evangelization in Lausanne, Switzerland, from which it takes its name.)
    • We believe salvation only comes through faith in Jesus as Lord resulting in regeneration by the Holy Spirit.
      • Although we respect other religions and believe in freedom of choice regarding religion, we believe that the Christian faith as laid out in the New Testament reveals the only true way of salvation, which is through a person exercising faith in the shed blood of Christ Jesus who vicariously suffered on the cross for the sins of many, who then died, was buried, and rose from the dead three days later as the only Redeemer, Lord, and Savior who reconciled believers back to the Father by the remission of their sins.
      • We believe those who reject the free gift of eternal life in Christ Jesus will live eternally in a place called Hades, and be eternally separated from the presence of God the Father and His saints.
    • We have a Trinitarian view of the Godhead.
      • We affirm the biblical teaching, hidden in the First Testament but revealed in the Second Testament, of the Godhead being made up of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
    • We reject evolution and believe the cosmos was created by God.
      • Genesis 1:1 and John 1:1-3.
    • We believe in eternal damnation for those who die without Christ.
      • John 3:16-19.
    • We believe the righteous will reign with Christ forever over the universe and inhabit the New Heaven and New Earth for all eternity.
      • Revelation 21, 22.

    Our Social Values

    • We believe in traditional marriage between one man and one woman.
      • Our organization will resist all legal and ecclesial attempts to legitimize alternative forms of marriage outside of the biblical norm found in Genesis 2 when Adam and Eve, as one man and one woman, became one flesh as husband and wife.
    • We believe in the sanctity of life for both the born and the unborn.
    • We believe societal justice has to do with providing every person--irrespective of ethnicity and religion--an equal opportunity to create wealth.
    • We believe the church should create non-governmental organizations (NGOs) for the purpose of empowering the poor and disenfranchised of society.
    • We believe parents are primarily responsible for the education of their children.
    • We believe in freedom of speech and religion.
    • We believe civic leaders derive their authority from God primarily to protect the unalienable rights endowed to all human beings from their Creator.
