Methodology & Structure
COACHING METHODOLOGY →
Utilize and connect notable national and local church and ma\rketplace leaders
to serve as instructors and/or coaches to Alliance members.
- Connections will be made with senior leaders and Alliance members based
on needed experience, education, and other ministry factors.
- Coaching will take place in both formal and informal arrangements to be
set between senior leaders and their Alliance members mentees.
COACHING STRUCTURE →
DIRECTIVE COACHES
- Coaches who interact with the Church Coaching Alliance primarily in a group
format. Some of the roles & responsibilities of a Directive Coach are:
- Share teachings with the Church Coaching Alliance members during scheduled
Phone Conference Meetings.
- Teach/preach during quarterly face-to-face meetings.
- Contribute writings and select resources to the On-line library
- Contribute writings to the monthly newsletter.
- Participating in Leadership Summits and other group activities.
ADVISORY COACHES
- An Advisory Coach functions in all the ways a Directive Coach would function,
but contributes his/her time and experience in closer relationship with select
ministries of the Church Coaching Alliance. Some of their additional roles
and
responsibilities are to:
- Be available by phone or in-person to respond to specific needs and
questions of member-ministries. For example, if a member-ministry is about
to launch a large initiative within their ministry and they need brief
council or instruction, the Advisory Coach would be called upon to share
and impart their experience and guidance with the member-ministry.
- Be available to come to the aid of a ministry crisis situation and help
that ministry navigate through the crisis or challenge. (Extensive consultation
may require extra fees and / or honorarium)
- Participate in special ministry projects to act as high-level counselors
for a predetermined time-frame.
- Communicate directly with Bishop Mattera as to the nature and frequency
of their advisory function with any and all CCC affiliates.
MENTOR COACHES (Future offering)
- In line with the Paul/Timothy mentoring model of leadership training exemplified
in 2 Timothy 2:2, the Church Coaching Alliance believes the greatest impact
on leadership will be achieved through a one-to-one model of leadership development.
- A Mentor Coach is the highest of involvement and commitment within the
Church Coaching Alliance and may, but is not required to, perform all the
services of a Directive Coach and an Advisory Coach.
- A Mentor Coach is someone who desires to impart their knowledge, experience,
ministry, and mantel upon those members who qualify to benefit from this level
of
coaching.
- A member of CCA must be found faithful to be entrusted with this level
of leadership development and must demonstrate their commitment to the process.
- Mentoring relationships will be determined and established through prayer
to discern the Lord’s will along with other criteria such as...
- The calling of the mentor and the call of the member.
- The gifting of the mentor and the gifting of the member.
- The experience of the mentor and the need of the member.
- The recommendation of Bishop Mattera will be the final step in the approval
process
- A mentoring relationship is long-term in nature, and can result in a very
intimate, Father-son type relationship.
- A Mentor Coach, as well as a member, must be prepared to be committed to
one another and invest in one another’s lives to produce the desired results.
- CCC faculty will be responsible for tracking the progress, fruitfulness,
and overall health of the mentoring relationship. (Each mentor will submit
a quarterly written summation of their ministry to CCC members.)
- Personal development assessments will be utilized along with other tools
to ensure the excellence and growth of the member being mentored.
- Policies will be implemented that lay out the conditions for a mentor
or coach to be released from the mentoring relationship if needed.
